Sovereign
Bosa Properties partnered with Chris Dikeakos Architects to devise Sovereign, a 45 story mixed-use building at the gateway to Burnaby's Metrotown. The tower rises from a substantial 100,000 sf retail and office podium, and hosts Canada's first Element Hotel whose 169 guest suites occupy the lower half of the building. With residences starting on the 20th floor, the homes at Sovereign enjoy panoramic views of the Burard Inlet, Northshore mountains, and downtown Vancouver. Set on a geographical high-point, Sovereign's white façade, sleek glazing, and scale make it a uniquely identifiable landmark in the Metrotown landscape.
Metrotown
Metrotown, Burnaby's main urban centre, is a vibrant multi-cultural destination for shopping and entertainment. The thoughtful urban plan utilizes mixed-use high-rise structures, which have created a varied and dynamic skyline, and resulted in a truly cosmopolitan neighbourhood with every convenience.
Sovereign really does set a new standard, not just for Metrotown, but for all of Metro Vancouver.
Interiors
Designed by BYU Designs, the interiors at Sovereign are spatially arranged with a focus on sight-lines that take full advantage of the expansive and dynamic views from every home. The floor-to-ceiling windows and over-height ceilings further serve to incorporate the view-scape into the living space. And engineered hardwood floors, composite stone counter-tops, and minimalistic backsplashes add quality, durability, and timelessness to Sovereign's stylish layouts.
